4 Tips For Arranging Your Photos in an Album

You may be someone who just likes to put the pictures into photo books, and go. If you want to express some creativity, however, you should try arranging your photos in different and appealing ways.

But arranging pictures in a photo album can be a daunting task. If you've ever decided to reorganize your photo collection, you know that tons of photos and lots of empty pages do not equal an easy job! The key to making this task simple is to choose an organizational method for your photos that can be used consistently. Here are four helpful tips:

Dates: One way to arrange your pictures is in chronological order. Start with your oldest photos. You may want to include the dates. Arranging by date, when done, provides a mini movie of events throughout the years.

Themes: The only limit here is your imagination. Some ideas for themes are; Christmas, Thanksgiving (any holiday), Beach vacations, summers, family reunions, School days, and so much more. Organizing by theme enables you to choose which event or place you would like to remember. Perhaps its winter and you want to remember the beach vacations. Pull out your beach themed album and think sun!

Person: There are several ways you can do custom photo books. You can combine them with dating, described above, or you could even organize by mood. Show the many moods of the person you are spotlighting. They could have a happy section, (or entire album!), as well as one for grouchy, silly, pouty...whatever your creativity thinks up.

Many people even have albums for their beloved pets. These are really charming to show other pet lovers. You could have one for the cat, one for the dog, even a fish album if you were so inclined.

Collage: Let your imagination go and use photos fascinating order. You can just put the pictures in where ever you like. Pictures can be put in any order, with any person or object featured. Collage, or free expression photo albums, can take on a personality all their own. The drawback to this method, however, is that if you have many photos, it is difficult to remember where any particular one is located. One way to help is to make a list of the photos in each book and put it inside as a reference.

Any one of these methods can be used to create wonderful photo albums. Remember you can add words, descriptions, funny remarks or whatever you like in your book. Set them up in a way you enjoy looking at them, and everyone else is sure to enjoy them as well.
