Creating A Digital Wedding Guest Book - Things To Consider Beforehand

Once a couple become engaged then planning the wedding starts. A lot of couples will spend most of their time planning the venue, the food, the invitations and of course the food and will of course give little thought to the sort of wedding guest book they will have at their big day.

Like many other couples you could choose to go down the traditional route and place a traditional book at the entrance to the wedding reception venue where guests as they arrive are asked to sign it. However instead why not create something that is totally unique and will last a long time by producing a digital one.

If you do decide to go down the digital route then it is going take a lot more organizing and can add to what may already be a very stressful situation. Also you need to factor in that creating a digital guest book will cost more as you will actually have to employ somebody to take photographs of each guest as they arrive with a digital camera and someone else to operate the laptop. Plus this is the person who will show each guest how to use the tablet pen so that a message can be left for you and the groom.

Even though this could cause a queue to form as each guest has their photo taken and writes their message it will provide you with a permanent reminder of what everybody thought of the wedding. Also after each message has been recorded then you can save them on to CD's that can then be handed out to guests at a later date to provide them with a memento as well.

However if you feel using CD's to provide copies of the messages to your guests is a tad expensive then you could pint out copies of them instead. Then bind each one in to a set. The great thing is you won't need to employ someone to do this work for you as long as you have a good graphic design program on your PC then you can design the borders and front of the book yourself. It is a great way of you producing a completely unique wedding guest book.

Remember to remind the photographer to take full body shots of each of your guests as this will provide both them and you of how much effort they put into dressing for what is such an important occasion in your lives. Also it could help some of the mistakes guests make of wearing the same or a similar outfit to the next wedding of family or friends that they attend.

In this article we have taken a look at some of the things that have to be considered when you choose to create a digital wedding guest book. However don't limit yourself to using just a digital camera to provide you with a memento of your special day but also consider recording messages with a video camera.
