Looking For The Perfect Christmas Gift - Write A Book

The Christmas shopping season has officially begun and the stores are filled with bargains but many of them are carrying the same merchandise. Luckily the internet provides a quick way to compare prices and look for hard to find items and we can easily locate these from our phones. But even with all of the latest technology, coming up with just the right gift can be daunting. That's why my idea just might be the perfect gift for one or several people on your list. It's simple-write a book.

A couple of years ago, I wrote a book about my 3 girlfriends and me. A friend of mine who is an artist rendered an illustration that captured our personalities and brought the book to life. A local printing company printed a small number of these quite inexpensively. I then searched the web and found some elegant boxes to display the books. My friends were ecstatic and I could tell I had found the perfect gift and the best thing was-- it came from my heart.

If you are looking for a unique way to tell those people in your life how much they mean to you, write a book. You can easily write a book about your family and make a copy for each member. Or for that special person in your life, why not consider writing a book about the two of you? It can be a timeline of your many months or years of knowing each other or it can be a comedy based on some event or series of events in your relationship. It's a fun and delightful way to show your loved ones how much they mean to you.

The writing of the book is easy, but if you feel that writing is just not your thing, you can always hire a ghostwriter to pen it for you. The right person can help you compose the book and give you suggestions on how to make it a treasure worth keeping. Giving someone a one of a kind book will be a gift that they will brag about for years to come.

You can also add photos of the people in your book; for instance, a family book might even include ancestors with a chapter dedicated to your family tree. Each chapter can be about a different family member or a memorable event such as a family reunion, birthday party, wedding or funeral. If you choose to fill your book with photos, include some good one -liners that you've written to accompany the pictures.

Many printing companies will print small spreads on standard 11" x 14" paper, which will make the pages in your book about 5 翻" x 7". Set your margins accordingly so that you still have a 1" margin on all sides; add page numbers and even a table of contents for an official look. If you know an artist, you can even add a graphic design to the front, or make a collage of photos for a special touch.
